1. Submission & Selection
Submissions to the exhibition are free of charge.
All works will be reviewed through a curatorial selection process. Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the exhibition.
Artists whose work is selected will be formally invited to participate.

2. Participation Fee
A modest participation fee will be payable only by artists whose work is selected for inclusion in the exhibition.
The participation fee contributes toward shared exhibition costs, including:
• Temporary off-site artwork holding prior to installation
• Installation materials and basic exhibition supplies
The participation fee does not include transport or courier costs.
The participation fee is not a profit-making charge and exists solely to support delivery of the exhibition without financial cost to the
Foundation.

3. Minimum Participation Threshold
The exhibition will proceed subject to a minimum number of selected works being confirmed.
If this threshold is not met, selected artists will be notified and no participation fees will be collected.

4. Shipping Responsibilities
Artists are responsible for all costs associated with transporting their work, including delivery to and collection from the designated
holding location.
Artists should not ship work prior to receiving written confirmation of selection.

5. Artwork Delivery & Off-Site Holding
Selected artworks will be delivered to a designated off-site holding location in the Inverness area during a defined delivery window.
Artworks will be received and held securely at this location prior to installation.
Direct courier deliveries to Boleskine House will not be accepted prior to installation.

6. Installation
Installation will take place during a defined installation period and will be overseen by the Site Coordinator.
Artworks must arrive fully ready to install, with appropriate framing or fixings where required.
Each artwork must be clearly labelled on the reverse with the artist’s name, title, medium, and year of production.
Works that arrive without suitable framing, fixings, or identification may not be installed.

7. Exhibition Period
The exhibition will run from April to June 2026.
No artworks may be removed or exchanged during the exhibition period unless agreed in advance.

8. De-installation & Collection
At the close of the exhibition, artworks will be de-installed on a scheduled date and held temporarily at Boleskine House.
Artists will be contacted following the exhibition to confirm collection arrangements, unless alternative arrangements have been
agreed in advance.
In some cases, Boleskine House may wish to discuss the potential inclusion of selected works within the permanent collection. Any
such inclusion would be subject to prior discussion and written agreement with the artist.
Artworks will not be retained permanently without the artist’s explicit consent.

9. Insurance & Liability
Artists are responsible for insuring their work during transit to and from the exhibition.
While reasonable care will be taken during handling and display, artworks are exhibited at the artist’s own risk.
The Foundation cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage during transit.

10. Image Use
Artists grant permission for Boleskine House to use images of submitted artworks for non-commercial promotional
purposes, including website, social media, press, and exhibition materials. Copyright remains with the artist.

11. General
By submitting work, artists confirm acceptance of these terms.
The Foundation reserves the right to make reasonable scheduling adjustments where required for operational or safety
reasons.
