About the Call
Where fire, water, time, and hand
have each had their turn—
and something still remains,
Boleskine House stands.
We invite artists to submit 2D works for What Endures, a group exhibition exploring continuity, renewal, and the forces that persist through decay, silence, and change.
Set on the edge of Loch Ness, Boleskine House stands as a site shaped by history, landscape, myth, and human intention. This exhibition seeks work that reflects on endurance — of place, memory, ritual, nature, belief, and creative spirit.
We welcome responses inspired by:
• the Highlands and surrounding landscape
• the history and atmosphere of Boleskine House
• cycles of ruin and restoration
• the unseen, the symbolic, and the intuitive
• what remains when everything else falls away
Medium: 2D works only - painting, drawing, print, photography, mixed media
Selected works will form a group exhibition within the house — a temporary convergence of voices, marks, and memory.
What endures is not what survives untouched —
but what remains willing to speak.
“The joy of life consists in the exercise of one’s energies, continual growth, constant change, the enjoyment of every new experience.”
— Aleister Crowley
