Shipping and Delivery

At this time, Boleskine House ships merchandise to locations within the United States and U.S. territories, including Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the US Virgin Islands. Additionally, Boleskine House ships merchandise to Canada and Mexico, but not to other international locations. The risk of loss and title for all merchandise ordered on this Web site pass to you when the merchandise is delivered to the shipping carrier.

International

Customs and import duties may be applied to International orders when the shipment reaches its destination. Such charges are the responsibility of the recipient of your order and vary from country to country. Contact your local customs office for details.

Visitor Ticket Terms & Conditions

1. General

1.1 These Terms & Conditions apply to all tickets purchased for entry to Boleskine House and its grounds (“the Site”).
1.2 By purchasing a ticket, visitors agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions and any instructions given by staff or volunteers on site.
1.3 Boleskine House is a historic property with natural grounds. Visitors attend at their own risk and must exercise appropriate care at all times.

2. Tickets and Entry

2.1 All tickets must be purchased in advance unless otherwise stated.
2.2 Tickets are valid for the date selected at the time of booking.
2.3 If you are delayed and arrive later than your booked time slot, your ticket will remain valid and you will still be admitted on the same day.
2.4 Tickets are non-refundable. However, at our sole discretion, we may agree to transfer your booking to an alternative date if requested in advance.

3. Health & Safety

3.1 Visitors must take particular care when moving around the Site due to its historic and natural character.
3.2 The grounds include:

  • Uneven surfaces
  • Natural terrain
  • Gravel, grass, and unpaved pathways

These features are part of the Site’s heritage and preservation. Appropriate footwear is strongly recommended.

3.3 The Site includes areas with steep slopes and banks. Visitors must keep a safe distance from edges and exercise caution at all times.

3.4 The staircase leading into the courtyard is historic, uneven, and not considered safe for general access.

  • Visitors must not use this staircase
  • Access to the rear garden must be via the smaller staircase located at the entrance to the courtyard

3.5 Visitors must follow all signage and directions provided by staff. Restricted or unsafe areas must not be entered.

3.6 Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times.

4. Liability

4.1 Boleskine House accepts no liability for injury, loss, or damage sustained by visitors except where caused by negligence.
4.2 Visitors are responsible for their own safety and personal belongings.
4.3 Visitors must act responsibly and with due care for themselves, others, and the Site.

5. Accessibility

5.1 Due to the historic nature of the building and grounds, some areas may not be fully accessible.
5.2 Visitors with specific access requirements are encouraged to contact us in advance.

6. Conduct

6.1 Visitors must behave in a respectful manner at all times.
6.2 We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any visitor whose behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or damaging to the Site or to our staff or volunteers.
